From table orders to KOT printing to fully compliant VAT invoicing — Elefai Foodie runs your restaurant and meets ZATCA's Phase 1 and Phase 2 e-invoicing requirements out of the box, in Arabic and English.
Since December 2021, every VAT-registered restaurant in Saudi Arabia has been required to issue electronic invoices under regulation from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). The mandate has two phases — Foodie is built to meet both.
In force since 4 December 2021
Rolling out in ZATCA-assigned waves since January 2023
A family sits down for dinner at a mandi restaurant in Riyadh. The waiter takes the order on a tablet, it prints instantly at the kitchen station, and when the bill is settled — by mada, card, or Apple Pay — Foodie generates a simplified tax invoice with the 15% VAT itemised, a ZATCA QR code, and a cryptographic stamp, then reports it to ZATCA's Fatoora platform within the required 24 hours.
For a corporate catering order billed to a VAT-registered company, Foodie issues a standard tax invoice instead — carrying the buyer's VAT number, and cleared with ZATCA in real time before the invoice is shared. No spreadsheets, no manual XML, no missed deadlines — every invoice type is handled correctly the moment it's created.
Every item on your menu is priced and taxed correctly, on every bill, without your cashier doing the math.
Automatic 15% VAT — applied at Saudi Arabia's standard rate on every simplified and standard invoice.
Bilingual invoices — Arabic and English print on the same receipt, so it's clear for every customer and compliant for ZATCA.
Buyer VAT capture — add a corporate customer's VAT registration number for standard B2B tax invoices.
Credit & debit notes — refunds and corrections are issued as compliant e-invoices linked to the original bill, not deletions.
WhatsApp & print — send the ZATCA-compliant invoice straight to the guest's phone or print it at the counter.
One system for the floor, the kitchen, and compliance — all built into a single POS.
Phase 1 & Phase 2 compliant invoices, QR codes, cryptographic stamps and Fatoora reporting — built in, not bolted on.
Visual floor plan with real-time table status — free, occupied, bill requested. Move a whole order to another table in one tap when guests change seats, and multi-floor support is built in.
Instant kitchen order tickets to multiple printers simultaneously — grill, drinks, or main kitchen, each gets only their items.
Raw material tracking with automatic deduction per recipe. Get low-stock alerts before you run out mid-service.
A live KDS screen for the kitchen — new, in-progress, and urgent orders sorted automatically, no printer required.
End-of-day reports, shift summaries, and daily P&L — ready in seconds, no manual calculations.
Internet cut? The POS keeps running. All orders and payments sync — and invoices report to ZATCA — automatically once connectivity is restored.
Waiter-wise order tracking and role-based access — manager, cashier, and waiter each see only what they need.
A phone-friendly app for floor staff — pick a table, add items, and send the kitchen ticket straight from the floor, no trip to the counter.
Push-to-talk between waiters, kitchen, and cashier — hold-to-speak channels, live "who's speaking" indicator, right inside the POS.
Loyalty points on every bill plus tiered Silver/Gold/Platinum membership cards with automatic bill discounts — bring guests back without a separate app.
Cash, mada, credit & debit cards, and Apple Pay — accept any payment. Split bills with one tap, or bill now and collect payment later at the table.
Every cancelled, refunded, or deleted bill notifies a manager automatically — a quiet layer of protection against till fraud, not just a report you check later.
A quick star rating and comment box on the Kiosk, QR table order, and website — see what guests actually thought, right from the Analytics tab.
Menu, receipts, KDS, and staff interface all run bilingually — each team member can switch to their own language.
Beyond the counter and the waiter — let guests order at their own pace, in Arabic or English.
Guests order and pay by themselves at a screen in Arabic or English — mada and Apple Pay accepted, receipt printed with the QR code included.
Seated guests scan a code and order from their own phone — the menu opens in their preferred language, straight to the kitchen.
Manage walk-in crowds at the door with a simple queue and SMS notification when the table's ready — no paper lists.
Guests order ahead from your own link and pay by mada, card, or Apple Pay — a fully ZATCA-compliant e-invoice generates automatically, no aggregator commission.
Fatoora is Saudi Arabia's e-invoicing regulation, issued by ZATCA (the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority). It requires VAT-registered businesses, including restaurants, to generate, store and — in Phase 2 — transmit tax invoices electronically instead of on paper or in unstructured PDFs.
Phase 1 (Generation), in force since December 2021, requires invoices to be created and stored electronically with a QR code on simplified invoices, and blocks editing or deleting issued invoices. Phase 2 (Integration), rolled out in ZATCA-assigned waves since January 2023, additionally requires your POS to integrate with the Fatoora Portal: standard B2B invoices are cleared with ZATCA in real time, simplified B2C invoices are reported within 24 hours, and every invoice carries a UUID, a cryptographic stamp, and a hash linking it to the invoice before it.
Yes. Elefai Foodie generates structured XML invoices with the UUID, cryptographic stamp, invoice hash chain, and QR code that ZATCA's Integration Phase requires, and connects to the Fatoora Portal using your restaurant's Cryptographic Stamp Identifier (CSID). Our team handles the onboarding for your assigned ZATCA wave.
Yes. VAT is calculated automatically on every bill at Saudi Arabia's standard 15% rate, itemised on both simplified (walk-in) and standard (B2B, VAT-registered buyer) invoices.
Yes. The menu, receipts, kitchen display and staff interface can run in Arabic, English, or both side by side — each staff member can pick their own language, and customer-facing receipts print bilingually.
Cash, mada, credit and debit cards, and digital wallets including Apple Pay, with split billing across multiple guests.
